'speed limit 35'

acrylic & pastel on canvas

my sister sent me a link to this haiku contest to win a trip to panama beach. so here are some i thought of. thought they could inspire some paintings out of them.

lace my heart to yours,
with ribbons made from sun rays,
sunrise to sunset.

hearts soar above clouds,
absorb tears from worlds below,
dreaming of embrace.

the journey of love,
even in the darkest days,
we hold the lantern.

after spending a good amount of time working on these (during work hours, of course!), i found out it wasn't an actual haiku contest, you just had to write one to qualify and it's a random drawing at the end. what?? oh well, twas fun.
